Esther and Peanut the kitten met when Esther’s parents took her to a local shelter so she could pick a life-long companion, what they didn’t expect was for this cute 2-year-old to instantly bond with Peanut, a ginger fur ball that was waiting for a family to adopt him. As soon as Esther laid eyes on him, she snuggled him and the connection was instantaneous.
“This photo was the moment we told Esther that he would be her very own little kitty, and we were taking him home,” shared Kerry Hjelmgren, Esther’s mom. It’s now been 3 months since Peanut was brought home and it looks like this pair is completely inseparable and the kitten is so obsessed with being near his best friend that he even joins Esther for baths!
“He bounds into her room, and jumps up on her bed every morning and purrs her awake – they are so close, and have both found a great source of love in one another.” Now, that’s kitty-commitment.
