A stray cat begged her rescuer to let her back outside so that she could save her kittens... and one of them was badly injured.

"Earlier this week a woman in Port Coquitlam spotted a mama and two kittens emerging from a carport," Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association said.
"The kind Samaritan took the little family inside but the mama begged to be let back out. Once outside she went back to the carport and one by one brought out five more kittens!"
The big feline family of eight is in good hands at their foster home, but they noticed that one of the kittens was walking funny.

"Mom is very sweet and her mix of babies are likely no more than 4 weeks old."

"Unfortunately one little guy has a very damaged back leg and is missing his foot," VOKRA said. "The wound has been there for awhile and is infected, but with some TLC he'll hopefully be able to live a normal life."

The kitten is getting stronger each day. He's starting to get the hang of walking around on 3 legs!
