Everyone knows that cats are curious creatures. I believe there might even be a proverb about it. Over the July 4th holiday weekend, though, a certain little kitten put the theory to the test by managing to get his head stuck in a doorknob hole for three days.
This picture should sum up the predicament.
According to a Facebook update, a group called Justice Rescue eventually intervened and Knobs was successfully liberated by the timeless combination of “dish-washing soap and careful handling.”
He was then transported over to Keystone Veterinary Emergency and Referral, where he was given food and fluids, plus appropriate blood tests.
Oh, and he also received a well-earned bath.
Injury wise, Knobs suffered from a cut around his neck — an ailment that was patched up with a staple. It’s predicted that he’s going to recover just fine and will soon be accepting adoption applications. Open-plan dwellings are presumably preferred.
